Client Relations Manager and Assistant to CEO
As Client Relations Manager and Assistant to the CEO, Stina is one of the main points of client contact at Jackson Design and Remodeling. With a zeal for client care, attention to detail and reliable efficiency, Stina clearly communicates with clients what they can realistically expect as they embark upon a remodeling project. She develops and implements new systems and organizes information in an accessible, appealing way to maximize team productivity and customer satisfaction.
Stina was born and raised in Connecticut, where her parents bought a historical home, built in 1908, that became a beloved renovation project for the whole family. After college, she moved to New York and then on to San Diego to earn her MBA. Stina has always been interested in the way things work and enjoys learning about the technical aspects of remodeling. But she finds her greatest satisfaction at work from making people happy with a job well done. Contact Stina

Jim combines his strong command of architecture with a depth of knowledge gathered over years in the remodeling industry to skillfully guide clients through the initial phases of a project with Jackson Design and Remodeling. Jim meets one-on-one with clients to introduce the Jackson Design and Remodeling team and the company's comprehensive design build services, helping clients visualize how JDR works to transform their homes. He leads clients to a clear understanding of the remodeling process, helps them articulate their needs and desires for a new space, and works with clients and the design team to coordinate a project's initial design phase.
Jim is a native of Phoenix, AZ, where he owned an architectural firm for five years before moving to San Diego in 1989. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Before joining Jackson Design and Remodeling, Jim worked for nineteen years at another large remodeling firm, where he practiced his skills as an In-house Architect and worked for ten years as General Manager. He was drawn to the innovative design principles and customer service responsiveness at JDR. Jim is a member of the San Diego Rotary Club 33 and has been published locally as an architect.

Anastasia, a Residential Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, is a talented and accomplished design professional with decades of experience and a powerful blend of artistic, communication and entrepreneurial skills. A native of Philadelphia, Anastasia was drawn to the creative life at an early age, first exploring jewelry and fashion design. After attending the College of William & Mary, she launched her professional career in the wine business where she developed business expertise and leadership skills managing the design and construction of wine stores and restaurants. Ultimately, the strength of her passion for home design led Anastasia to leave the wine business and focus her artistic talents exclusively on design build remodeling. She refined her capabilities with residential remodels and historical renovation projects in Washington, DC and Virginia, including hands-on work in the field. Since moving to San Diego in 2003, Anastasia has designed hundreds of remodels and additions, specializing in kitchens and baths. Her work has received numerous accolades and has been published in Better Homes & Gardens Magazine, among others. Anastasia's mastery of both the business and creative fields brings a pivotal combination of strengths to the Jackson Design and Remodeling team. Her advanced skills as an active listener and communicator are a vital aspect of Anastasia's demonstrated ability to understand the needs and desires of people undertaking a major remodeling project. Clients appreciate Anastasia's gift for grasping the details and overall aspirations of their projects simultaneously as she leads our team in developing innovative design solutions with a steadfast focus on creating a satisfying client experience. Anastasia's active, creative life encompasses a wide variety of interests. When she isn't designing, she can usually be found on the tennis court, at the yoga studio or enjoying cooking and fine wine.
Residential Designer and Department Head
During more than twenty three years of experience in the field, Chris has won multiple awards for his work. As JDR's Residential Designer and Department Head, Chris brings his creativity, attention to detail and efficiency to each project as he helps client realize their remodeling dreams by transforming existing structures and designing new ones. Chris was raised in San Diego and was already interested in architectural design at the age of eight. His passion motivated him to pursue classes in high school where he received all the industrial arts awards available for design and drafting in his senior year. After attaining his Diploma in Architectural Drafting from Platt College, Chris immediately began working with a professional design company. He joined Jackson Design and Remodeling in 2001, where his vast knowledge has significantly contributed to the company's growth and success.
Chris's unique designs have been featured in various publications including San Diego Home and Garden and The Union Tribune. Alongside JDR's Interior Designers, his projects have won numerous awards, including Chrysalis Awards (Finest Remodeling Projects in the US, Professional Remodeling) and CotY Awards (Contractor of the Year, National Association of the Remodeling Industry). Several of the homes he has designed have been featured in ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) Kitchen Tours. Chris's experience and unprecedented talent make him an incredible asset to the Jackson Design and Remodeling team.
Previous to joining Jackson Design and Remodeling as a Residential Designer, John has worked for more than 30 years in the design field with various architectural firms. He was self-employed for several years, operating his own design firm, which specialized in high-end residential projects. John holds a BArch from Cal Polytechnic University Pomona, where he majored in the School of Environmental Design. His extensive experience includes design and space planning, project management, construction document preparation, sub contractor coordination, and plan permitting. His technical skills and wide ranging experience in the residential design field help to ensure a smooth process and memorable experience for JDR's clients.
During a career in the remodeling industry that spans over 25 years, Arnold has gained extensive experience in all aspects of architectural design. Arnold has contributed his skills to both residential and commercial buildings and is well versed in the California Building Code. His impressive background includes design, construction documents, administration, project management, and team leadership. As a Residential Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Arnold brings seasoned skills, a strong work ethic and keen technical capabilities to every project, helping to ensure a successful outcome and stress-free process for our clients. Arnold is a volunteer and board member for the Del Mar Little League. He earned an Associates Degree in Architecture from Southwestern & Mesa Community College.
Jerry brings extensive experience in the architectural industry, along with 13 years in project management positions, to his role as Residential Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling. Jerry helps to ensure a stress-free remodeling experience for our clients by applying his seasoned skills and strong understanding of architecture and construction to every project. Prior to joining Jackson Design and Remodeling, Jerry built his career with architectural firms handling both residential and commercial work. He balances significant experience with large-scale projects with dedicated attention to detail. Originally from Mexico, Jerry moved to Temecula as a child. His creative side was initially drawn to graphic design but he chose architecture because of the satisfaction of translating people’s ideas into a tangible and useful form. Jerry is an avid gardener and relaxes on weekends by tending his flourishing vegetable garden and fruit trees.
Licensed Landscape Architect
Cindy is a California Registered Landscape Architect who has created award-winning designs for urban centers, residential and commercial developments, hotels, recreational facilities, public parks and private residences throughout the Southwest and Hawaii for more than 30 years. Her designs are living architecture, expressing her natural talent for capturing the essence of the harmony between man and nature. Cindy's extensive knowledge of horticulture makes her particularly adept at working with clients to create both majestic and intimate gardens.
Cindy is a member of ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects), CLCA (California Landscape Contractors Association) and the San Diego Horticultural Society. She has been featured on the DIY network's hit television shows; "Indoors Out" and "Rock Solid," and her work has been highlighted in multiple print publications. When she's not crafting her next masterpiece, she donates her time judging, exhibiting and speaking at garden shows and seminars.

Tatiana Machado-Rosas is Jackson Design and Remodeling's Design Department Manager and Senior Designer. Tatiana has excelled in her field for more than two decades and her leadership of the Jackson Design and Remodeling design team has inspired multiple award-winning projects. Originally from Mexico City, Tatiana has traveled throughout the world, gaining inspiration from many cultures before making San Diego her home 20 years ago. She graduated from the Design Institute of San Diego with a BFA in Interior Design. She earned her CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) accreditation through the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association.) Tatiana is an active member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and her projects have been displayed in the ASID Kitchen Tour since 2002.
Tatiana's projects have been recognized by ASID (Design Excellence Awards), NKBA (NKBA Star Awards), NARI (CotY Awards), Qualified Remodeler (Master Design Awards) and the Chrysalis Awards. Her designs have been published numerous times in such publications as Better Homes and Gardens, San Diego Magazine, Qualified Remodeler, San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles, Kitchens, Ranch & Coast, Kitchen & Bath Design News, and The UT San Diego. One of her kitchen designs was recently named Best Kitchen by the readers of Architectural Digest in their 2013 Before + After: Reader Kitchens contest. In 2009, Tatiana was honored with a Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) award from the YWCA. In 2010, Tatiana was named to San Diego Metropolitan Magazine's "40 Under 40," an annual list of the 40 individuals under the age of 40 whose outstanding business and civic contributions are shaping the region's future. A prestigious newspaper in Mexico has featured weekly articles on design trends with Tatiana's collaboration.
Tatiana's creative inspiration, innovative skills and intuitive understanding of client needs is demonstrated in the diverse solutions she creates, always uniquely suited to each individual client. Her passion for beautiful design is evident in the style and functionality she infuses into each project she undertakes. Tatiana's effective management of the design department ensures smooth communication and implementation while the design and production departments work together to make each project a success. Her distinct talent, attention to client satisfaction and remarkable project outcomes are all part of her substantial contribution to JDR.
Senior Interior Designer
Sol, Senior Designer for the Jackson Design and Remodeling design team, is a multiple-award winning professional with more than thirteen years of experience as an Architectural Designer. Sol applies her considerable skills from the studio and the field to transform her clients' visions into stunning reality. Sol was born and raised in Argentina where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. She was involved in the design of various projects in Buenos Aries before moving to Southern California where she now practices her passion for artistic, impressive home design.
Sol has been featured on the cover and inside many publications including Beautiful Kitchens & Baths, Signature Kitchens, San Diego Magazine, Dream Kitchens & Baths, San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles, Kitchens, U-T San Diego, Riviera Magazine, Remodeling Magazine, Ranch & Coast Magazine, NKBA Magazine and Qualified Remodeler.
A recognized design innovator, Sol has received numerous awards for her work including ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) Awards, Chrysalis Awards, NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry) CotY (Contractor of the Year) Awards, NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) Awards, and Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards. Sol won the 2014 NKBA National Award for Best Overall Bath and Best Powder Room and was honored with two Kitchen of the Year awards: 2010 Kitchen of the Year - San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles (featured on the cover) and 2012 Kitchen of the Year - Ranch & Coast Magazine. Sol was also the winner of the Caesarstone 2009 Dream Design contest.
Sol is inspired by the myriad cultures she has experienced during her travels in South America, North America and Europe. She takes the utmost care to incorporate each individual client's personal hopes, dreams, aspirations, and requirements into her unique design solutions and complimentary style suggestions. Clients are inspired when working with Sol because of her intuitive nature, creativity and responsiveness. Sol's experience and talent make her an incredible asset to the Jackson Design and Remodeling team. She continues to astound and delight clients all while being a mother of two lively and energetic little girls, ages 3 and 5.
Senior Interior Designer
Pamela is an accomplished interior designer with a diverse set of skills and experience. In addition to her career in design, Pamela also worked for many years in the hospitality industry with a four-star, five-diamond, Triple A resort, giving her a strong foundation in high level service and an understanding of how to create comfortable, luxurious surroundings. Pamela earned a BA in Applied Arts & Sciences from San Diego State University with an emphasis in Interior Design. Before joining Jackson Design and Remodeling as a Senior Interior Designer, she worked in the design build industry in the San Diego area for several years, specializing in high end custom home design. Pamela is well-versed in all aspects of residential design, including architectural planning, cabinetry design, energy-efficient design, and project management.
Helping clients achieve a vision for their homes and bringing that vision to life is a passion for Pam, who has dedicated much of her career to extraordinary client care. Pam is dedicated to building strong relationships with clients, vendors and other team members. Pam's abilities to guide, inspire and create help Jackson Design and Remodeling clients to imagine new creative and functional possibilities for their homes.
Senior Interior Designer
Rosella, a Senior Interior Designer for the Jackson Design and Remodeling team, has built her exceptional skills during more than 10 years of experience in the industry. She is a native of Mexico where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and launched her career with an internship in an architectural design firm. In addition to her Bachelor's degree, Rosella earned a Masters of Science in Architecture from The New School of Architecture and Design. Since Rosella moved to San Diego in 2005, she has continued to thrive as an Interior Designer focusing on comprehensive design and architecture for interiors. She has worked with clients on projects ranging from bathrooms and kitchens to whole home remodels. Her projects have been recognized by ASID (Design Excellence Awards), NARI (CotY Awards), Qualified Remodeler Magazine (Master Design Awards), and the Chrysalis Awards. Her work has been featured in various publications including Union Tribune, San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles and the front cover of Qualified Remodeler Magazine. Rosella is an Allied member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and an active member of NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association).
Rosella's work is inspired by each client's personality and lifestyle; she believes in expressing each client's story in their home's design. She thinks of every design as a journey and each project as an exploratory creative partnership with the client. Rosella's talent, tenacity, attention to detail, and clear communication are just few of the tools she brings to JDR's professional design team.
Alison earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Her exceptional technical and artistic skills are expressed in the creative work she performs as an Interior Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, helping to bring concepts to life for our clients as they plan their remodeling dreams.
Alison was inspired to pursue a career in design from a young age. When her family moved from the home they had lived in for her whole life into a new house that required a whole home design, Alison discovered how much she enjoyed creating from a blank slate and knew she wanted to work toward a creative career. The evolving perspectives of professional interior design and the chance to help people envision how their homes can better suit their lifestyles and aspirations drives Alison's passion for design. Her essential helping nature is also expressed in her church group, which assists people in need by sprucing up their homes with love and care. Alison is highly proficient with social media and technology and applies those skills in her client relationships as a way to gather diverse information and find inspiration. Alison's enthusiasm for helping clients transform their homes and her emphasis on clear communication make her an asset to any project.
Her artistic and highly creative nature is put to good use in Jen's position as an Interior Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling. Originally an architecture major in college, Jen discovered interior design during a drafting class, fell in love with space planning, and changed her educational path shortly thereafter. Her passion for interior design is driven by the satisfaction of helping to transform people’s lifestyles with design. Jen’s creativity combines an artistic and analytical approach and she is passionate about learning new concepts, staying current with industry trends and helping JDR's clients visualize their dreams for their homes. She is appreciated for her ability to listen closely, communicate responsively and accurately encapsulate clients’ needs and desires. Jen earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from The Art Institute of California San Diego and is currently completing her Masters in Interior Architecture from UCLA. She joined Jackson Design and Remodeling shortly after graduating from The Art Institute and has been a valuable member of the design team ever since. During her rare free time, Jen enjoys spending time with her family and frequently participates in JDR events giving back to the community.
As an Interior Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Marisela is able to experience her favorite part of design, the joy of making clients happy by transforming their homes. Marisela is a native of San Diego and earned an Interior Design Associates Degree from FIDM in Los Angeles, California. She comes from a family of artists who show their work in exhibitions throughout San Diego. As a child, she experimented with fashion and sewing before migrating to interior design. Shortly after graduating from FIDM, Marisela joined Jackson Design and Remodeling and continued to learn her craft hands-on from the senior design team. She appreciates the creativity of designing layouts and seeing a project through from conception to completion in a design build remodeling environment. Marisela is an excellent communicator who is dedicated to building rapport and trust with clients. She goes to any lengths to make sure clients are completely satisfied with every aspect of their projects. During her time away from the design studio, Marisela enjoys socializing with family and friends.
Cabinet Design Specialist, AKBD
A native of Winston-Salem, NC, Caroline was new to San Diego when she joined the JDR team as a Cabinet Design Specialist. She graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology. Her father owned a building supply company and from an early age Caroline was surrounded by construction and fascinated by drawing floor plans and "dream homes." Caroline co-owned a kitchen and bath design firm in North Carolina, where she attained hands-on experience in kitchen and bath design. As part of JDR's Design Department, Caroline creates cabinetry drawings and digital renderings as well as pricing, ordering and installation layouts for our clients.
Attracted to the excitement of creativity and color, Olga dreamed about becoming an interior designer at a young age. She is a native of Mexico and earned a Bachelor of Science from The Art Institute of California San Diego. As a Design Assistant for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Olga is inspired by her passion for functional and beautiful spaces to produce meticulous renderings and design board layouts. Her talent for capably handling details is applied in a position that requires a significant level of organizational skills. Olga enjoys engaging with her team and JDR clients and is active in community volunteer work.
Vanessa graduated with Highest Honors for Outstanding Academic Achievement from the Art Institute of California in Interior Design - San Diego and earned an Associate of Science in Graphic Design from Southwestern College. As an Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Vanessa skillfully employs her diverse creative skills and impressive educational background to create designs that inspire clients. Vanessa contributes her passion for art and design to projects that enhance our clients' lifestyles by transforming their homes into spaces with enduring function and beauty.
Vanessa is dedicated to education and continually builds her skills and knowledge, staying on top of the latest industry innovations. With exceptional professionalism and an enthusiastic attitude, Vanessa brings her distinct vision and creativity to designing successful projects.
Assistant Designer, AKBD
In her role as an Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Liz combines strong technical and artistic skills with a deep respect for natural beauty and historical design. Liz was born in Oregon and earned a Bachelor's in Interior Architecture, with a minor in Historic Preservation and an emphasis on Art History, from the University of Oregon, Eugene. After school she worked in the field on projects that allowed her to explore her passion for preserving nature and historical architecture. Liz thrives on contributing her specialized skills and ideas to the Jackson Design and Remodeling design team as they work together to transform clients' homes. To refresh her inspiration, Liz can often be found under, or even in, a nearby tree with sketchbook in hand.
Jennifer was raised in an environment of artistic entrepreneurship with extended family who enjoyed drawing and painting and a mother who owned a creative business. She knew from the time she was very young that she wanted to make a living in the arts. Having the family home remodeled during her childhood sparked a strong interest in Interior Design. After graduating from San Diego State with a BA in Applied Arts and Sciences with an Emphasis in Interior Design, Jennifer strengthened her business and design skills in a series of internships and jobs in the creative field. As an Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Jennifer works with Senior Designers as they meet with clients and develop designs. She juggles a variety of administrative tasks and assists with AutoCAD drawings during the design process. Born, raised and educated in San Diego, Jennifer loves her home-town and still enjoys playing tourist here during her leisure time with a close circle of friends and family.
As an Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Brittany combines artistic and communication skills to help the busy design team inspire clients and complete multiple projects. Brittany is dedicated to the design process from start to finish, enthusiastically applying her artistic and technical skills along with diligence and creative intuition. She handles administrative tasks, assists with AutoCAD drawings and materials selection, and supports the team throughout the design process. Brittany enjoys the collaboration of design and communicating with clients to achieve the best possible result for each project. Brittany earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from San Diego State University. She is an adventurous hiker and amateur photographer and enjoys exploring nature with her camera on long hikes during her free time.
Priscilla pursued creative arts and activities from the time she was a young child and explored various disciplines including visual arts, performing arts, and set design. She decided on the remodeling industry during her formal education at the Art Institute of California San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Science, Interior Design. After graduation, Priscilla explored roles in video editing, set design and the visual arts, all of which further developed her creativity and strengthened her eye for design. As an Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Priscilla assists Senior Designers with administrative support, AutoCAD drawings, and coordination with subcontractors. She appreciates the unique opportunity to make a very personal difference in the lives of clients with thoughtful interior design. Priscilla is a San Diego native and an avid reader of every genre from biographies to science fiction.
Hana was exposed to architecture and design from an early age as her family travelled throughout the world. She has lived in several countries and states, including Georgia, where she earned her BFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Hana delights in the fast pace of the Jackson Design and Remodeling Design Department and appreciates the opportunity to practice her organizational skills while quickly adapting to the challenges of multiple new projects and responsibilities as an Assistant Designer. She appreciates working with the team to help transform client’s existing homes into functional, beautiful living environments. When she’s not at work, Hana winds down with reading, yoga, cooking and baking.
Tessa is a San Diego native with a creative family who nurtured her early interest in art and design. She moved to the Bay Area for college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from San Francisco State University. As an Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Tessa thrives on the way design requires both a dedicated attention to detail and an ability to see the big picture. She loves being part of the process of a design, from the initial drawings she helps create to the finished home when the clients see how it all works together. She is passionate about being on a team that creates beautiful spaces with integrity. In her spare time, Tessa creates fun purses and accessories from faux leather and other fabrics, a skill passed down from her grandmother who was once a fashion designer.
Eliana was educated at the New School of Architecture and Design and The Art Institute of California San Diego, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. An Assistant Designer for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Eliana is a passionate learner and explorer, dedicated to the details of design work and how they combine to create beautiful spaces. Eliana works directly with Tatiana, JDR’s Design Department Manager and Senior Interior Designer, and is excited about the opportunity to learn from the team leader. Along with her impressive creative skills, Eliana is also technically proficient and enjoys meeting multiple deadlines in Jackson Design and Remodeling’s busy design department. Originally from Mexico, Eliana has lived in San Diego since she was 10 years old. Her hobby is baking delicious and elaborate cakes of all shapes and sizes. Eliana loves running to relieve stress and is a devoted wife and mother and church volunteer.
As a Presentation Manager for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Karina leads the creative output of a busy department that is central to the design process.She balances a keen understanding of design with a sense of urgency to complete multiple projects with competing deadlines. Karina’s staff is responsible for helping clients envision their space at the beginning of the design process with material selections, drawings and renderings that help them make a personal connection to their future home. When the design is finished, Karina steps in again with guidance about accessories and finishing touches.She also leads her department in styling photo shoots of finished projects and designing company events. Born in Poland, Karina called Europe home for many years and her design aesthetic is influenced by that experience as well as her fashion design background. She earned an Associate Degree in Interior Design from San Diego Mesa College. She is an avid runner and has participated in many local charity races. Karina is also a passionate cook and a dedicated mom who enthusiastically skateboards and hikes with her young son.
Catherine has been designing her environment since she was a child, always with an eye to making her space feel more comfortable and functional. She appreciates the experience of helping clients envision new ideas for their homes as a Presentation Assistant for Jackson Design and Remodeling. Catherine helps to create the presentation boards our design team shows to clients as part of our unique design build process. Presentations include samples of materials, along with meticulously detailed hand renderings of interiors. She thrives on the hands-on creativity of her work, producing presentations that help clients see how their homes will look and feel when finished. Before earning a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from The Art Institute of California San Diego, Catherine obtained a BS in Business from San Diego State University. As a San Diego native she enjoys exploring her beautiful hometown and draws design inspiration from its abundant cultural life and natural beauty.
An Air Force veteran of the Gulf War era, Brent brings considerable leadership and strategic skills to the Jackson Design and Remodeling team. After his eight years of military service, Brent earned a degree in Management, graduating with honors. Brent brings these skills, along with more than a decade of experience in the construction industry, to his position as Production Manager. During his years in construction, Brent has continually acquired greater responsibility in each successive position, developing his expertise in management, technical and communication skills, as well as hands-on production work. As Production Manager, Brent heads the Production Department and oversees JDR's team of project managers and field staff. In keeping with the company's commitment to 'Build Clients for Life', Brent also manages JDR's Premium Client Care Warranty process. Brent is dedicated to assuring that each client's expectations are exceeded. Working with a unified team of architects, designers, and construction professionals, Brent appreciates being an integral part of transforming client's homes. A committed family man, Brent enjoys time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
As Jackson Design and Remodeling's Production Coordinator, Jennifer applies her efficient administrative abilities, excellent organizational skills and extensive technical knowledge to help assure that all JDR clients receive accurate and timely project estimates. Using JDR’s carefully designed cost estimating system, Jennifer helps to access the best values, determine exact costs and avoid any surprises for clients during the design build process. Jennifer acts as a liaison with JDR and our subcontractors, sustaining the positive ethical relationships that make each project run smoothly. Jennifer brings a high level of enthusiasm for design build remodeling, along with an ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, to her position as Production Coordinator. In her free time, Jennifer loves to bake elaborate and delicious cakes and cupcakes.
With over thirty years of experience in construction, Joe has a working knowledge of every aspect of the remodeling industry. As a Project Manager for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Joe oversees subcontractors and employees on the jobsite, reads and interprets blueprints, meets with inspectors and ensures code compliance, while working both in the field and in the office. Having owned a construction business in the past, Joe understands the importance of building excellent relationships with each JDR client. This knowledge underscores all of his client interactions.
Mike started working in the construction industry as a teenager and found a lifelong occupation. Beginning as a layout/plater and framer for a construction company specializing in new home developments, he soon worked his way up to Project Management. Mikes' extensive experience is invaluable in both the field and the office. He reads and interprets blueprints, meets with inspectors and ensures code compliance, with a continual focus on customer satisfaction. Overseeing multiple job sites, Mike ensures that each project exceeds client expectations.
In his position as Project Manager for JDR, Don uses the experience and knowledge he has gained during over 23 years in the remodeling industry. With the goal of creating an exceptional client experience for each project, Don ensures code compliance, manages employees and subcontractors, and assures the timely completion of all the details involved in a successful remodel. After a lifetime spent in the industry, Don understands the importance of exceeding client expectations and is dedicated to making that happen on each project.
After almost two decades in the construction industry, Jesse brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Jackson Design and Remodeling jobsite. He has hands-on experience in all phases of construction and is well-informed about the latest materials and methods. Jesse has worked on many high end residential design and build projects, supervising staff, managing deadlines and budgets, and communicating with clients and vendors. Jesse's communication skills, along with his dedication to meeting deadlines while maintaining the highest quality work are valuable assets in the work environment. Jesse oversees multiple projects and ensures Jackson Design and Remodeling clients each have an exceptional, stress-free remodeling experience.
Carlos brings over fifteen years of experience in the construction industry to his role as Project Manager for Jackson Design and Remodeling. During several years as the co-owner of a general contracting company, Carlos developed a broad range of abilities while coordinating and managing successful remodeling projects. He is a skilled tradesman with an exceptional work ethic supported by strong technical and communication skills. As a Project Manager for JDR, Carlos is responsible for ensuring code compliance, managing employees and subcontractors, and handling the myriad of details involved in a major remodel. Carlos has the seasoned knowledge and experience to guide projects to successful completion on time and on budget while satisfying the highest quality standards for Jackson Design and Remodeling clients.
Estimating and Procurement
Mark has an extensive range of estimating experience, including commercial, custom home building and remodeling. As an estimator, Mark produces the uncommonly comprehensive, accurate and timely cost estimates Jackson Design and Remodeling has implemented as part of a positive experience for all clients. Mark analyzes and organizes the costs for each project, from the smallest details to the most significant expenses, so that each client knows how much a project will cost before the project begins.

Maria, JDR's Financial Controller, earned her BS from the School of Management at Boston College and has over 12 years of accounting experience in the building industry. Alongside the CEO, Maria directs and manages the company's financial planning and budgets, and recommends benchmarks for measuring performance. She produces monthly financial reports, prepares financial forecasts and conducts internal financial audits. Maria assists the CEO in establishing and implementing short-term and long-term department goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures. Her dedication to both strategy and details makes Maria a valuable asset to the Jackson Design and Remodeling team. Maria was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Boston, where she became an avid Red Sox fan.
As an Accounting Assistant for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Andrea practices her high level organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. Andrea is energized by the thriving Jackson Design and Remodeling team and enjoys working in a challenging department with multiple responsibilities. Originally a Communications major in college, Andrea responds enthusiastically to JDR’s detailed, well-organized processes with carefully designed communication points. Andrea recently moved to the area and was happy to leave the fog of Monterey behind for the beautiful sunshine of San Diego, which she now enjoys with her boyfriend and their adorable new dog, Murphy, on long beach walks and hikes.
Jackson Design and Remodeling's Marketing Director, CoCo is the guardian of the company's brand. She drives JDR's vision by leading and overseeing the development of an imaginative, integrated marketing approach. CoCo conducts research, assesses data analysis and develops comprehensive marketing strategies that support the company's long-term goals. A graduate of Longwood University in Virginia, CoCo has worked in the San Diego, Washington, D.C., Richmond and Atlanta markets during her impressive career. She supports ongoing innovation in the remodeling industry through her involvement in the U.S. Green Building Council and the San Diego Center for Sustainability. CoCo also contributes her skills and energy to the community, volunteering with organizations such as the San Diego Film Festival and the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
In her role as Marketing Assistant for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Jennifer's background in both administration and graphic design is the perfect combination of efficiency and creativity. Accomplished at handling multiple deadlines and delivering results under pressure, Jennifer is a trusted resource with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Before joining JDR, Jennifer gained eight years of experience as a marketing communications specialist, a graphic design department assistant, and a freelance graphic designer. Her creative expertise and professional experience are invaluable to Jackson Design and Remodeling's vigorous marketing department. Jennifer earned an Associates of Arts in Transfer Studies from San Diego Mesa College and an Associates of Science in Computer Graphic Design from Coleman University. Jennifer enjoys a happy family life with her husband, a United States Marine, and their baby daughter.
