Jackson Design & Remodeling President Todd Jackson Honored as Finalist for National Fred Case Entrepreneur of the Year Award
(SAN DIEGO – May 20, 2009) – Jackson Design & Remodeling, San Diego (JDR) today announced that Todd Jackson has been honored as one of four finalists for the national 2009 Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award, considered by many to be the most prestigious award in the remodeling industry.The winners were chosen by a panel of judges representing Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., Hanley-Wood and Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. The Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award was created to honor and recognize the entrepreneurial spirit of remodelers and the importance of creativity and innovation to the industry.
All four finalists were acknowledged at a celebratory awards dinner in Washington D.C. at the Big50 gala dinner at the Remodeling Leadership Conference. The award winner will be announced at the 2009 Remodeling Show in Las Vegas this fall.

Fred Case & the Remodeling Entrepreneur Of the Year Award
The Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award is modeled after
the professional achievements of Fred Case, founder and CEO of Case Design/Remodeling,
Inc. Fred is credited as the industry pioneer of the design/build concept
in the 1970’s and was also instrumental in developing the first certification
system for remodelers while chairing the National Education Committee
of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Among many
other honors, Fred won the first NARI “Contractor of the Year Award”
in 1976, and was recognized in 1984 with NARI’s Harold Hammerman
“Spirit of Education” Award for excellence in education and
training. In 1999, he became the first-ever recipient of Remodeling magazine’s
Foundation Award for Lifetime Achievement, and was inducted into NAHB’s
Remodeler’s National Hall of Fame in 2002. Today, Fred Case continues
to serve as CEO and Co-Chairman for Case Design/Remodeling, Inc and Case
Handyman and Remodeling Services.
