New Kitchen Expresses Personal Style

An eclectic interpretation of French Country style, this El Cajon remodeling project expressed the client's desire for a larger kitchen with modern functionality grounded in a classic approach.

Meticulous attention to detail was a necessity for an artistic client with a flair for design. The new kitchen conveys a unique personal style based in traditional aesthetics with thoughtful planning of layout, appliances, materials and colors.

The new kitchen design dramatically brightens, streamlines and opens the available space, providing much easier navigation for living, cooking and entertaining. The substantial island with attached multipurpose table is a functional and appealing centerpiece in an airy, warm and welcoming environment.

The client is an enthusiastic orchid gardener who can now fully appreciate the wonderful view of her backyard garden and gazebo from the kitchen's new windows. The row of small drawers to the right of the sink provides space for gardening tools.

A sleek induction cooktop lives in harmony with its more traditional surroundings, balanced by a niche of richly textured diamond marble. Embellished with graceful waterwood-finished corbels and a custom faux finish, the hood impressively establishes the cooking space.

The Mysteria countertop material for the large island with attached table was selected in an earthy tone that blends with the distressed wood floors. This design decision helps keep the island from overwhelming the room.
