Jackson Design & Remodeling Wins Master Design Awards for Two Stunning San Diego Kitchens
1900s Historical Home and Modern Universal Design Kitchen Remodels Honored by Industry Peers in National Awards Program
(September 24, 2010 -San Diego, Calif.) --- Jackson Design & Remodeling (JDR), winner of the 2007 and 2009 BBB Torch Award for Business Ethics, is proud to announce it has won two Master Design Awards from Qualified Remodeler Magazine. Now in its 32nd year, the Master Design Awards is a national, peer-to-peer awards program for residential remodelers.
Jackson Design & Remodeling earned Master Design Awards in the following categories: Kitchens $50,000 - $100,000 (Bronze) and Kitchens over $100,000 (Honorable Mention).
The first win was for the contemporary remodel of a kitchen using the principles of Universal Design. The second award was for the remodel of a kitchen in a 1900s historical home built by acclaimed San Diego architect William Templeton Johnson.
The Master Design Awards are judged by remodeling industry peers from across the country making it one of the most prestigious and sought-after annual awards programs in the industry. The 2010 judging panel consisted of Michael Menn, AIA, CGR, CAPS, of Michael Menn Ltd., Northbrook, Ill.; Martha Kerr, CKD, of Neil Kelly Co., Portland, Ore.; Neil Kristianson of Crimson Design & Construction, Naperville, Ill.; Christopher Landis, AIA of Landis Construction, Washington, D.C.; and Troy Pavelka of Normandy Builders, Hinsdale, Ill.
