Jackson Design and Remodeling Team Members Lend a Helping Hand through "Project Harmony"
San Diego Remodeling Industry Joins Forces to Give Extreme Makeover to Apartments for Formerly Homeless, Disabled
(October 15, 2010 -San Diego, Calif.) --- Jackson Design & Remodeling was proud to be part of "Project Harmony," an industry-wide charitable project to benefit Interfaith Community Services organized by the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Members of San Diego's remodeling community came together to donate time, staff and funds to rebuild three dilapidated apartments that are home to formerly homeless, disabled individuals and families.
The Harmony apartment complex remodel, dubbed "Project Harmony," is the first of what NARI San Diego plans as an annual charitable event. JDR and many other local companies came out in force to support this great organization by donating all supplies, labor and funds needed to completely remodel the three apartments built in 1964.
The team completely gutted the apartments and rebuilt them with new floors, drywall, cabinetry, paint, granite countertops, appliances and even furniture. The project began on Friday, September 10 and just one week later, the happy residents moved back in to their newly remodeled homes. NARI and Interfaith celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a huge lunch celebration for all the crew and residents.
