Jackson Design & Remodeling Designer Tatiana Machado-Rosas Earns CKD Certification from National Kitchen and Bath Association
NKBA's CKD® certification program requires designers to have a minimum of 7 years experience designing residential kitchen spaces. They are highly skilled in design, space planning and product selection and have extensive knowledge of building codes, flooring materials, appliances, and mechanical systems. They write specifications and draw plans that are easily interpreted by plumbers, electricians, and installers. A CKD must meet specific educational requirements and pass a comprehensive academic and practical exam. Originally from Mexico City, Tatiana graduated from the Design Institute of San Diego with a BFA in Interior Design and has excelled in the field for over 15 years. As Jackson Design and Remodeling's design department manager and senior designer, her broad range of talent is evident in the style and functionality she infuses into each project she undertakes and her work has received dozens of industry awards and honors. Tatiana is a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) and is a National Association of Home Builders' Certified Green ProfessionalTM CGP. Her projects have been published numerous times in Better Homes and Gardens, San Diego Home and Garden, San Diego Magazine and the Union Tribune. A prestigious newspaper in Mexico has featured weekly articles on design trends with Tatiana's collaboration, and her projects have been displayed in the ASID Kitchen Tour since 2002.
