Jackson Design and Remodeling Continues Award-Winning Legacy with Two 2025 NARI Regional RotY Awards!

Entire House Remodel and Residential Interior Recognized for Exceptional Design

(SAN DIEGO – February 25, 2025) – San Diego-based design build firm Jackson Design and Remodeling (JDR) was recognized with two 2025 Remodeler of the Year Awards (formerly Contractor of the Year or CotY) Awards) by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for a polished modern home with layers of luxurious elements and an expansive family home with exquisite details. JDR’s RotY wins are in the categories Entire House $750,000-$1,000,000 and Residential Interior $250,000-$500,000.

Each year, NARI presents awards to members who have demonstrated outstanding work through their remodeling projects. The Remodeler of the Year Awards, formerly Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards, are the highest form of recognition by industry leaders and peers. With hundreds of entries submitted nationwide, each project is judged with meticulous standards and criteria. This year, more than 160 Regional Winners earned this prestigious honor, collectively representing over $190 million in remodeling projects.

Regional winners advance to the finals, competing against the other projects in their categories from seven regions across the country; JDR is in the Southwest region. Judges vote on the overall winners in each category to determine which are honored as National RotY award winners. This year, winners will be announced on April 9.

2025 Regional RotY Award Winner, Entire House Remodel $750,000-$1,000,000

Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego

When a recently married couple wanted to balance their needs and styles in their home, they agreed that luxury details, abundant light, and a modern approach were shared priorities. The new design integrates layers of light – from natural to strategic LED lighting to dramatic illuminated soffits – as one of the most important elements. The kitchen is now open to the dining space and balances rich blue cabinetry with lighter cabinetry and a chevron pattern backsplash. A breakfast nook overlooks the pretty backyard. In the living space, with a bold new fireplace and elegant wet bar, relaxing and entertaining are now inviting prospects. The “his and hers” primary bathrooms are sumptuous retreats with designs that echo each other while providing ultimate privacy. 2025 Regional RotY Award Winner, Residential Interior $250,000-$500,000

Poway, San Diego

For their home in a neighborhood with wide open space, the clients wanted to embrace their surroundings by balancing some of the charming details of the original with more modern amenities for their family lifestyle with three young children. In addition to being outdated, the existing design had no relationship to the exterior of the home, which is a California Mediterranean style, or to the neighborhood. The expansive new design is created with an eye toward artistic harmony that speaks to the home’s natural surroundings. The interior was dramatically transformed within its existing footprint. Details of the design were significantly elevated to appeal to the clients’ sense of style and to their love for welcoming friends and family for festive gatherings. Exquisite materials used throughout create conversation-starting focal points. Part of a spacious open living area as large as many entire homes, the design seamlessly integrates the kitchen with the family room while also creating distinction for each space and bringing the grand proportions of the surroundings to a human scale.
