As a Design Assistant for Jackson Design and Remodeling, Carissa exhibits notable energy and enthusiasm while contributing substantial technical and creative capability to each task she undertakes. Carissa knew she wanted to be a designer from an early age. Her father owns a construction company and she grew up seeing the process of designing and building. She was drawn to the process of creating new structures and even more so to transforming their interiors. Carissa was educated at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She is attracted to an eclectic variety of styles in design and loves the process of expressing creativity by balancing color and materials. Carissa appreciates the chance to learn from and collaborate with the dedicated and experienced professionals of JDR in a united effort to design and build extraordinary home environments that enhance clients’ lives. Highly organized and efficient herself, Carissa responds to the JDR’s meticulously developed systems and processes. She treasures traveling and was inspired by living for a semester in London where she was able to explore her appreciation for European architecture. In her free time, Carissa loves to paint, cook and stay active.
